| 0bjective:To evaluate the preventive and therapeutic effect of yangyinshugan Soup onperimenopausal syndrome caused by endocrine therapy on breast cancer through clinicalobservation on the examining indexes of the patients improved by the yangyinshugan Souplike clinical symptoms, living quality, and hormone levels, so as to provide ideas andreferences for treating perimenopausal syndrome groups related to breast cancer withtraditional Chinese medicine.Methods:43patients who were confirmed as having breast cancer, and then hadperimenopausal syndromes after endocrine therapy, and were typed by traditional Chinesemedicine dialectic as depletion of kidney yin and repression of liver qi are randomly dividedinto two groups:20cases for the matched group while23cases for the treating group. Regulartreatment of20mg oryzanol and VitB120mg per dosage is given to the matched group, whilefor the treating group, oral medication of yangyinshugan Soup is added to the treating methodfor the matched group. Three weeks are a course of treatment for both of the two groups, andboth are treated with one course. The changes of related indicators like clinical symptoms, living quality and hormonal level before and after the treatment are observed and the curativeeffects have been decided with statistical methods. Results:Analysis on the overall effective rate of the drugs: the effective rate in the matchedgroup is63.5%, while that of the treating group is85.2%. According to the comparisonbetween the two groups (P<0.05), the curative effect on the treating group is better than thatin the matched group. Analysis on clinical syndromes: The symptoms like hectic fever, sweating, languidness, and headache of the patients in both of the two groups of patients areall significantly relieved compared to those before the treatment (P<0.01), plus that theimprovement of the aforementioned symptoms in the treating group is better than that in thematched group. Comparison of the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome integral: there is no significant difference between the integrals of the two groups before and after thetreatment (P>0.05), while significant distinctions between the integrals appear after thetreatment (P<0.05), and the treating group is better than the matched group (P<0.05).Comparison on the Karnofsky performance scale: Both of the Karnofsky performance scalesof the two groups have been upgraded (P<0.05), and the treating group is better than thematched group (P<0.05). Comparison on the hormonal levels: The changes of the hormonallevels of the two groups of patients are of no significant distinctions before and after thetreatment (P>0.05), and there is no significant distinction according to the treating group tothe matched group (P>0.05). This indicates that the yangyinshugan Soup has not influencedthe hormones within the body of the patients. Analysis on safety indexes: The two groups oftreatment have no significant influences on the safety indexes of the patients, like bloodroutine examination results, liver function test, kidney function test, as well as stool and urineroutine examination results. Conclusion:The results of this research have shown that the regular treatment withyangyinshugan Soup can significantly improve the symptoms of patients with breast cancer, who are having perimenopausal syndrome of the type of depletion of kidney yin andrepression of liver qi after endocrine therapy, like hectic fever, sweating, depression, irritability, and languidness, and upgrade the Karnofsky performance scales. However, it is ofno significant influences on the hormonal level of the patients. |
