Investigation On Prevalence And Influencing Factors Of Hypertension In Hefei

Backgroud As a key non communicable disease, the clinical manifestations of Hypertension shows that arterial pressure is higher than the normal.Hypertension is the most common cardiovascular disease,which appears to be increasing in prevalence.In 2006,the national prevalence number of hypertension already amounted to nearly 200 million.Relatively speaking,The awareness rate, treatment rate and control rate ratio is very low, showing surprising gap.There are many causes of hypertension, including social demographic factors(age, gender, educational level, family income, social security system), lifestyle factors(physical activity frequency, fruit and vegetable intake, smoking and alcohol consumption, the amount of sodium intake), other risk factors or behavior(high BMI, high blood fat, high blood sugar) and genetic factors etc. It is convenient for prevention and control work to investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of hypertension in Hefei area.Methods A total of 1900 subjects aged above 15 years old in one district of Hefei were selected with Multistage stratified random cluster sampling method.The information of subjects was collected by questionnaire surveyand physical examination.The questionnaire was made by the National Cardiovascular Disease Center China Academy of Medical Sciences Fuwai Hospital of Cardiovascular Disease draft.The investigators trained before the investigation,then investigators accessed to relevant information in a face-to-face manner of acquisition data, and fill out the questionnaire.The survey followed the principle of informed consent.Measurement of physical examination included height, weight, body fat, waist circumference, blood pressure and so on,The results recorded in the part of prevalence rate of physical examination questionnaire of important cardiovascular disease.Uniform provisions measurement method and the reference standards are in accordance with the relevant international guidelines.The project work in accordance with the specification and a method for the quality control of national projects, the completion of the investigation of the whole process of quality control.And the completion of data entry will collect the data into a computer, finishing and logic error checking, database, statistical analysis.The package of descriptive analysis used statistical software SPSS17.0.Results There were 468 patients with hypertension were examined and the prevalence of hypertension was 24.63%,28.72% in male,20.51% in female. The prevalence of hypertension was 55.8% in 55 years and older.Body mass index(male >=25, female >=24) the prevalence rate of hypertension accounted for 52.27%.Consistent with central obesity and eating salty factors all have statistically significant differences in essential hypertension.The riskfactors of hypertension were BMI,age,the amount of salt and central obesity.Conclusion People aged over 45 in Hefei city has a high prevalence of hypertension.The institution should carry out health education as soon as possible,in order to strengthen the self-health care consciousness and change the bad life style actively.Hypertension is a "lifestyle disease".We should carry out a wide range of health promotion and health education as soon as possible in the Anhui area,popularize knowledge of hypertension prevention and control, strengthen the self health care consciousness, change the bad life style actively(for example,keeping reasonable diet, quitting alcohol limit, sodium restriction, proper exercise,and control of body mass index)for the prevention and treatment of hypertension and related the disease.
