Attention-Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a kind of behavioral problems popular in school-aged children. EEG biofeedback technology has made great achievement in helping children with ADHD.Aimed at the impaired concentration and short attention span of ADHD-I (Inattentive) patients, the paper completed a rehabilitation system to help them mprove attention quality.The paper has solved problems in three different stages. At first stage, related theories of EEG biofeedback technology and treatments for ADHD provide theoretical basis for the following study. The second stage completed the whole designing and implementation of hardware and software platform. The hardware platform is an acquisition circuit for brain waves, using dry electrodes and improved amplifying and filtering technology. The software platform is an app based on Android Tablet, developed with Eclipse. Based on rhythm classification method of brain waves, band-pass filters were designed to extract beta and theta waves and β(pw)/θ(pw) was calculated to indicate attention level. With well-designed and suitable games, the software platform has completed three functions of data communication, evaluation and training and achieved the integration of real-time monitoring, objective evaluation and rehabilitation. At last, initial application and experimental study tested the stability and validity of the system. The first experiment was applied in 18 primary students whose attention levels were evaluated three times and the test-retest reliabilities were good with Pearson correlation coefficients all around 0.7. The second was a single subject experiment to test the effectiveness of the rehabilitation methods and conclusions verified the validity.
