Observation On The Clinical Effect Of Different Degree Of Obesity(Stomach Heat Resistance Type) Cured With Acupoint Catgut Embedding

Objective: Observation on clinical curative effect and the difference between the I and II degree Simple Obesity(Stomach Heat and Dampness Type) using the therapy of embedding catgut in points. Thus to provide an objective analysis basis for the clinical treatment of varying degrees Stomach Dampness Simple Obesity patients.Method: Select 30 cases of the I degree Simple Obesity and 30 cases in the II degree according to the standard. Using the method of self-contrast and comparison between the two degree groups to contrast the weight, body mass index, chest, waist, hip circumference, basal metabolism, muscle percentage, fat percentage and the symptoms.Result: After two courses of treatment, within the group: the weight, body mass index, waist circumference, hip circumference, fat rate, symptom score decreased significantly, basal metabolism, muscle rate increased, there is a significant difference(P <0.01)compared with that before the treatment. Chest decline is not obvious, there was no significant difference(P> 0.05)compared with that before the treatment. There was no significance difference between the two groups with the effect, weight, body mass index, basal metabolism,chest, waist, hip, muscle percentage, fat rate, symptom score(P> 0.05).Conclusion: Catgut embedding therapy can alleviate the symptoms of the two groups of patients, significantly reduce the body weight, body mass index(BMI) and fat percentage; cannot significantly affect the chest circumference but significantly reduced waist circumference;can faster the basal metabolism, promote fat decompose, eliminate the accumulated fat and achieve a healthy weight loss. However,the comparison between the two groups was not significant.
