Clinical Research On Method Of Tonifying The Kidney And Removing Blood Stasis Obstructed In The Channels To Interfere In The Syndrome Renal Deficiency And Blood Stasis Of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Purpose.-To discuss the understanding of traditional Chinese medicine about diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), using method of tonifying the kidney and removing blood stasis obstructed in the channels.To observe the therapeutic efficacy of this method in treating the syndrome renal deficiency and blood stasis of diabetic cardiomyopathy.Methods:A randomized, controlled trial was conducted 60 patients with syndrome renal deficiency and blood stasis of diabetic cardiomyopathy were randomly classified into two groups.On the basic of normal treatment and modern medicine, the patients of treated group (n=30) were treated by Chinese medicine while the patients of controlled group (n=30) were not. The two groups were 4 weeks for 1 courses,3 courses were observed.The observed indexes included both curative effect indexes, such as clinic symptoms, FBG(Fasting plasma glucose), PBG(Post plasma glucose), HbA1c (glycosylated hemoglobin), blood fat, the score of neural symptoms and signs and safety indexes, such as routine urine, blood and stool test, Electrocardiogram, the function of liver and kidney and harmful reaction.The complete data carries on statistics analysis by the SPSS 16.0 statistics software.Results:Prior treatment, the gender, age, course of disease of the two groups patients had no differeces.①The total effective rate of treated roup patients was 96.7%; while the controlled group was 83.3%.The treated group had an advantage than the controlled group(P<0.05).②The postprandial blood glucose, HbA1c of two groups lowered(P<0.01). And the treated group had an advantage than the controlled group(P<0.05).③Compared with pre-treatment, in the treated group patients’TC had a lowering(P<0.05), and TG, LDL-C had a lowering and HDL-C had marked increase(P<0.01), showing that the combination of Western medicine and chinese medicine has the function of adjusting fat and it does much better than using western medicine effected only in TC and HDL-C.④The score of neural symptoms and signs:After the treatment of two patients with neurological signs and symptoms score group were lower than those before therapy, there is significant difference (P<0.01); the treatment group improved more differences between two groups (P<0.05).⑤The motor nerve conduction velocity, sensory nerve conduction velocity of two groups increased(P<0.05). And the treated group had an advantage than the controlled group(P<0.05).⑥Safety indicators:Liver and kidney function tests were within normal range. Both groups were no adverse reactions.Conclusion:Chinese medicine of method in tonifying the kidney and removing blood stasis obstructed in the channels has sure curative effected in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy. It is worth studying deeply and developing further.
