Clinical Observation Of Primary Trigeminal Neuralgia By Electroacupuncture Bangci Xiaguan Point Treatment

Objective:To explore the more effective treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia through the comparative efficacy of electroacupuncture and electroacupuncture Bangci Xiaguan point.Methods:There were 60 patients with PTN who were randomly divided into control group and treat group that contain 30 patients each.The two groups took Carbamazepine as the basic treatment.Meanwhile,control group use electroacupuncture(EA)methods and treat group were treated by electroacupuncture Bangci Xiaguan point.They were treated for 30 minutes every time for 1 day,and course of treatment were 1 week that contained 1 day rest.The treatment time continued 2 courses. Patients were assessed with Visual Analogue Scores and Pain Score table before treatment and at the end of treatment.Analyze and calculate VAS,the each of scores in Pain Score table,total pain scores and excellence rate by using SPSS software.Results:1.There was statistical significance of VAS,total pain score, range,degree,time and frequency of pain between control and treatment group before treatment at the end of treatment(P<0.05);2.Treatment group’s excellence rate of was better than the control group’s,and the deference between them had statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Electric-Pong acupuncture and simple electroacupuncture treatment can relieve the degree of pain,reduce frequency and duration in patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia.2.The significant efficacy of Electric-Pong acupuncture method is better than electroacupuncture.
