Objective: To study the relationship between serum uric acid levels and heart function in elderly patients with chronic heart failure and hypertension, and explore the relevance of chronic heart failure and patients with essential hypertension and serum uric acid levels between the them, with a view for the monitoring of patients with chronic heart failure and hypertension complications provide valuable biomarkers. Methods: To collect 228 patients diagnosed cardiac insufficiency and selected 71 cases in health people as the control group in the First Hospital of Jilin University of cardiology in January 2013~December 2015 who were 60 years old or over,24 hours of admission expert echocardiography and cardiopulmonary function, biochemical, routine laboratory tests of patients, 167 cases of male, female 132 cases. According to NYHA standard, heart function is divided into Class I group(n = 41), cardiac function class II group(n = 130),cardiac function grade III group(n = 28), cardiac function class IV group(n =29).Select objects on routine blood tests and cardiac color doppler ultrasound examination of left ventricular ejection fraction collecting(LVEF), mitral valve early diastolicblood flow peak velocity(E), late diastolic blood flow peak velocity(A), calculate E, A ratio. And then analyze the questions as follow:1.The level of serum uric acid in each group; 2. Cardiac function in patients withserum uric acid levels difference; 3. Correlation with serum uric acid levels in the degree of heart failure; 4. Analysis the correlation of serum uric acid and hypertension. Results: There were statistical differences for hyperuricemia prevalence in chronic heart failure group and non-chronic heart failure group(P<0.05),hyperuricemia prevalence in chronic heart failure group(47.8%) were higher than non-chronic heart failure group(32.4%). There were statistical differences for serum uric acid levels in chronic heart failure group and non-chronic heart failure group(P<0.05), the mean of serum uric acid in chronic heart failure group(404.69) were higher than the non-chronic heart failure group(356.42).There were statistical differences for serum uric acid levels in patients with different degrees of chronic heart failure(P <0.001), with the degree of chronic heart failure increases, the serum uric acid levels increased gradually. By pairwise comparison, patients of heart failure class I degree, their serum uric acid levels were lower than the patients of heart failure class II~IV degree(P<0.05), patients of heart failure class II degree, their serum uric acid levels were lower than the patients of heart failure class III~IV degree(P <0.05); patients of heart failure class III degree, their serum uric acid levels were lower than the patients of heart failure class IV degree(P <0.05).There were statistical differences for hyperuricemia prevalence in hypertension group and non-hypertensive group hyperuricemia(P <0.05), it hinted the prevalence of hyperuricemia in hypertension group(50.7%) were higher than non-hypertensive group(37.4%). There were statistical differencesfor serum uric acid levels in hypertension group and non-hypertensive group(P<0.05), the mean uric acid in hypertension group(401.03) were higher than the non-hypertensive group(369.31). There were statistical differences for E/A level in hypertensive and non-hypertensive group(P <0.05), the E/A mean value in hypertension group(0.811) were lower than non-hypertensive group( 0.982).Conclusions:1. Hyperuricemia is a risk factor for chronic heart failure;2. CHF group uric acid concentration is higher than the non-CHF group;there are trend relationship in serum uric acid level and in the severity of heart failure;3. Serum uric acid levels in hypertension group were higher than non-hypertensive group;hyperuricemia is a risk factor for hypertension;...
