Research purpose:Investigation and analysis on the performance of clinical practice of vocational nursing students, assessment of clinical practice environment, practical stress, practice expectations and general self-efficacy; To discuss factors influencing the practical effect and then propose sound improvement measures and verify its effectiveness for the purpose of alleviating pressure on practice and enhance practice performance, thus to improve the practice quality.Methods:to use " Self-rating scale of clinical practice performance ", " Scale of clinical practice Environmental Assessment ", " Scale of stress origin and stress rating " and " Scale of general self-efficacy ", to investigate and analyze the clinical practice of 100 vocational nursing students from two hospitals in Yancheng by questionnaire. Propose targeted improvement measures for the detected problems and conduct periodic interventions, and then to validate the effect of implemented measures.Results:1. Average sore of self-evaluation of clinical practice, general clinical environmental assessment were 3.58 ± 0.59,3.36 ± 0.84, total scores of practical stress were 73.18 ± 15.51, average score of self-gain evaluation was 2.63 ± 0.49.2. As for the gender expectations towards teachers,4%of vocational nursing students want to practice with a male teacher,37% choose female teachers, while 59% with no requirement for teachers by age expectations,98% vocational nursing students with a teacher’s expectations aged 20 years to 40 years; 67% expect college-level education with a teacher; As for the expectations of teachers by professional quality, in addition to "have a strong research consciousness ", the other items are up more than 80%; on instructor personality expectations," affinity "selection rate of 91%; As for the most desirable aspects of teaching content, select rate of" department specialist nursing techniques " up to 93%.3. Factors impact clinical practice quality include students’ interests in nursing and select of internship unit, attitudes about employment prospects, expectations of parents towards vocational nursing students, parents’ educational background, performance in professional theory class, nurses’ attitude towards nursing profession, teacher’ attitudes towards nursing profession, employment intentions, time of clinical practice, grade of teaching hospital, students’ mode of choosing nursing.4. Total score & dimension of Rating Scale for Clinical Practice Environment and scores of the self-assessment scale were positively correlated, but negative correlated with the total score of Stress Scale; Scores of Stress Rating Scale and scores of performance scale presented a negative correlation with each other. Internship harvest and total self-assessment, total environmental pressure, total efficacy were significantly correlated; Difference in vocational nursing students’ general self-efficacy score was statistically significant.5. Through the implementation of interventions, the test group and the control group tested, using independent sample t test analysis, it showed that test scores in the two groups, score difference in self-evaluation, environmental assessment, pressure situation was statistically significant.Conclusions:1. Vocational nursing students have a good sense of identity in clinical practice for self gain, the practical effect is generally good, but there is still room for improvement in terms of performance practice and practice environment. Student internships pressure is at the middle level. Hospitals and schools should take appropriate measures to alleviate the pressure of student internships.2. Vocational nursing students’ self-evaluation, environmental practice, practice stress, self-efficacy have a major impact on clinical practice. Improve the working environment while alleviating pressure from patient care can improve the performance of vocational nursing students, to give students more opportunities to show practice is an important way to alleviate the pressure.3. Students own characteristics have an impact on clinical practice. School teaching process should enhance students’ interests in the nursing profession, the concept of education, the attitude of employment in order to promote a fundamental effect in clinical practice of vocational nursing students.4. Hospitals should strengthen the building of teaching staff with an appropriate increase in the proportion of women teachers in the leading team, and train young female teachers, while strengthening capacity-building of clinical teaching quality, operational skills, interpersonal communication and other aspects of personality. Schools and hospitals should arrange internships content and teaching time, pay attention to specialist care technology, nurse-patient communication skills teaching, nursing-related legal knowledge, and other aspects of the new frontier.5. By improving the clinical management, enhancing professional identity for vocational nursing students, boosting teacher enthusiasm, improving teaching methods, alleviating pressure on vocational nursing students, increasing clinical internship opportunities, rationalizing assessment mechanism, we can significantly improve practice academic record of vocational nursing students, improve students’ clinical performance, raise students’ evaluation of practice environment, while significantly reducing the practice pressure.
