Objective: By comparing the expression rate of estrogen receptor ER in cancer tissue and invasive cancer tissue of papillary thyroid cancer patients, we analyzed the expression levels of ER and papillary thyroid cancer-related clinical, in order to provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of papillary thyroid cancer and prognosis. Methods: We elected 60 papillary thyroid cancer female patients whom were diagnosed in surgical pathology and admitted in Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from October 2014 to October 2015, Aged 23-60 years, the mean age was 45 ± 4.5 years old. The cancer tissue as the control group, the invasive cancer tissue as the observation group, Then we compared in immunohistochemical methods the expression rate of estrogen receptor in the cancer tissue and the invasive cancer tissue of papillary thyroid cancer. Then analysis the relationship between positive expression of ER and pathological features in papillary thyroid cancer.Results:1、The expression rate of ER in cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in invasive cancer tissue, The result shows a significant difference of expression rate of ER between in cancer tissue and in invasive cancer tissue(P<0.05).2、The expression rate of ER in thyroid papillary cancer tissue result comparison shows that the ER rate of less than 45 years old, more than 45 years old group is 50.00%,19.23%, there is statistically significant difference.3、The ER rate of the size of tumors less than 1cm, greater than 1cm is 37.50%,36.36%, with and without lymph node metastasis group is 35.71%, 38.88%,the tumor for unilateral, tumors are bilateral or spondylolysis group is 31.11%,53.33%,when tumor for single stove, tumor were multifocal group is 34.09%,43.75%, there were no statistically significant difference.4、The expression rate of ER in thyroid papillary cancers presented the trend of high expression, the ER and the occurrence of thyroid papillary cancer showing a certain positive correlation.Conclusion:1、The expression rate of ER in cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in invasive cancer tissue.2、The expression levels of ER in cancer tissue has relevant with patent’s age, but has nothing to do with the patent’s tumor size, cervical lymph node, the tumor’s position, the one or more tumor.3、The expression rate of ER showed a positive correlation with the occurrence and development of papillary thyroid cancer.4、The expression rate of ER can be used as the assistance of the thyroid papillary carcinoma diagnosis index. Whether the check of ER rate can be used as a prognostic indicator of the thyroid papillary carcinoma still need the further research.
