Piano trio was originated from Baroque trio and sonata withaccompaniment at18thCentury, but until the period of classicalism andromanticism, this type of music has been really formed and developed. Mozartplayed a role of ‘benchmark’ in this type of music. In his works, three musicalinstruments in piano trio became independent and distinct, and three themesof voice part became resonant, interdependent and interactional. He alsoestablished the form of third move suite, including musical structure ofcommencement and closing stages. KV502Flat B Major piano trio, as one ofmost classical and popular among Mozart’s works, was rarely played andinvestigated due to the limitation of performing piano trios. I believe thatin-depth investigation of this novel style of music would help understand andperform piano trio.This article consists of four parts. The first part reviews the history of pianotrio as well as introduce well-known performing bands, and some difficulties increating and performing piano trio are also included and its historicalsignificance is outlined in the first part. The second part reviews the creationbackground and musical concrete analysis of Mozart’s KV502Flat B Majorpiano trio so as to briefly introduce characteristics of Mozart’s music. This partreviews the creation insight of Mozart’s quartet, drama and piano concerto onpiano trio, and introduces characteristics of Mozart’s music in this work byanalyzing their melody, consonance and format of this work. The third partmainly analyses performing difficulties and cooperation of Flat B major pianotrio. In this part, many of works are introduced and stone, keyboard, volume,rhythm, musical expression and melody counterpoint of three musicalinstruments in each movement and paragraph are analyzed one by one.
