Due to the specificity of Chinese traditional culture and the actual social conditionof China, it is a common social phenomenon that the employees even remain silent inthe face of their legitimate interests damaged. In fact, employees keep silence todamaged interests does not mean their abandon of interests. What’s worse, thelong-time silence will eventually affect employees own interests and threaten theinterests and long-term development of the organization. When employees face thedamaged interests, in what circumstances they will keep silent, in what circumstancesthey will dare to express, what factors will affect employees silence to interestsexpression? Such questions are worthy attetion from researchers and managementpractitioners t.This study is based on literature review and theoretical thinking, and puts forwardthe hypothesis among organizational atmosphere, employee need and employees’silence to interest expression. Through a variety of methods, such as questionnaire,expert consultation and statistical analysis, this study develops four sub researches:①Preliminarily discussion on the main types and properties of employees’ silence tointerests expression.②Explore the dimension structure of employees’ silence tointerests expression, and analysis its current characteristics.③Explore the dimensionstructure of organizational atmosphere, and analysis its current characteristics.④Explore the dimension structure of employees’ need, analysis of the relationship amongorganizational atmosphere, employee need and employees’ silence to interestsexpression.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:①In Chinese background, according to the content, employees’ silence tointerests expression mainly contains five types, in which defensive silence is the mosttypical. According to the property, there are three main attributes of employees’ silenceto interests expression, in which positive silence is the most prominent.②Employees’ silence to interests expression are consists of five dimensions.According to the average descending order, the five dimensions are considerate silence,disregardful silence, defensive silence, helpless silence, observational silence. On thewhole, employees’ silence to interests expression is located at the middle level. Throughcomparation of difference analysis, it is found that there are significant differences on gender, age, education, working age position and nature of the organization among thefive dimensions of employees’ silence to interest expression.③Organizational atmosphere is consist of five dimensions. According to theaverage descending order, the five dimensions are supportive atmosphere, harmoniousatmosphere, learning atmosphere, open atmosphere, growth atmosphere. On the whole,organizational atmosphere is located at the middle level. Through comparation ofdifference analysis, it is found that there are significant differences on gender, age,education, working age and nature of the organization among the five dimensions oforganizational atmosphere.④Employee need is consist of five dimensions. According to the averagedescending order, the five dimensions are treatment environment need, developmentconditions need, care admission need, organization grade need, self-realization need, jobcharacteristics need. On the whole, employee need is located at a higher level.⑤Through exploring the relationship among organizational atmosphere,employee need and employees’ silence to interests expression, it is found that employeeneed is able to predict organizational atmosphere significantly, organizationalatmosphere is able to predict employees’ silence to interests expression significantly,employee need is able to predict employees’ silence to interests expression significantly.And organizational atmosphere plays a mediating effect in the process of employeeneed to helpless silence, defensive silence and considerate silence.
