Study On Living Conditions Of Manchu Descendants In Manchukuo

Manchukuo become a puppet regime supported by Japan after Mukden Incident in 1931.Pu YI was chosen to be the nominal leader of the regime and people in Northeast China suffered the colonial rule from Japan for 14 years. To strengthen its colonial rule, Japan advocated the significance of harmony between five nations and friendship between Japan and Manchu. Meanwhile, in order to annex the Northeast of China Japan practiced a high-handed policy to people of Hans, Mongols, Koreans and Manchus as well. Through the study to the living condition of Manchu descendants in Manchukuo, the paper aims to reveal the hypocrisy and deception of the so-called harmony and friendship and explain the true nature of Japanese militarism.The thesis consists of three parts, which include the introduction, the main body(three chapters) and the conclusion. The first chapter mainly introduces how Japan wins the support from the aristocrat class of Manchu descendants, including royal family, officials and policemen from cities. The analyses to their position, salary and political status could help to answer the question.The second chapter analyzes how Japan enslaves Manchu descendants in the Northeast of China from urban areas and their living conditions suffering from all kinds of undesirable taxes.The third chapter mainly discusses the education of Manchu descendants, labor problems and the difference of living condition with other nations.
