Study On Painting Art Of Egon Schiller

Since the beginning of the 20 th century, Vienna Secession which is established in Austria not only represents the best art of Austria, but also represents the style of Austria-France Impressionism and Belgium Naturalistic painting. Egon Schiele is the artist who has his unique artistic style in that period. Although Egon Schiele only lives for 28 years, there is no doubt that he is a brilliant, talented artist. Most of Egon Schiele’s works are about human body, among them there are some works which portray the part of human body. Among Egon Schiele’s subject matters, he combines human’s lust and disease, insaneness and death, then express his feelings and aspire the spirit of freedom directly. This persistent self-discovery expresses the frankness which beyond our belief, and it is full of respect of human’s gender. At the same time, this persistent self-discovery also allures the audience, the “truth” he expresses makes a deep impression on us.This thesis aims at exploring and researching of Egon Schiele’s paintings by the methods of collecting literatures, observation, analysis, summing up experience and so on. We combine the background of Austria Vienna and Egon Schiele’s specific experience of life, expression of emotion to explore what he pursuits in that time. Give a new interpretation on living and death, spirit of freedom.
