An Investigation For Dialect Vocabulary In Fengcheng County,Jiangxi Province

Fengcheng is located at the central section of Shanxi province.It is 60 kilometers away from Nanchang,next to Jinxian 、 Linchuan at east,connected to Chongren、Lean、Xingan at South and adjacent to Xinjian 、 Nanchang at North.Fengcheng dialect is belong to Yiliu district.which can be subdivided into four areas-Chengguan district 、Jianxi district、Shangjiandong district and Xiajiandong district.Among the available literature,there is no deep and systematic research into Fengcheng dialect words has been found.The subject of this paper is Fengcheng dialect.Through field investigation based on <The survey of Chinese dialect words and expressions> in Fengcheng,I obtained substantial first-hand language material.By reorganizing and analyzing,4805 entries have been recruited into this passage.There are some differences between mandarin and words in the vocabulary.Based on this,this paper applied lexicology theory to analyze the morphology and meaning of Fengcheng dialect words thoroughly,and studied the semantics layer of Fengcheng dialect words.This paper is subdivided into five chapters:Chapter One:Introduction.It mainly introduces the geology and history of Fengcheng and its research background、 research aim and meaning、research steps and tones system of Fengcheng dialect.Among them,the research steps include fixing investigation spot、investigating the profile of cooperators、field investigation and language material arrangement.Chapter Two:Analysis of Fengcheng dialect morphology.It mainly compares and analyzes the differences between Fengcheng dialect and mandarin from three aspects—the amount of syllable 、 constituting morpheme and affix.Chapter Three:Word-formation analysis of Fengcheng dialect words.It mainly discusses from the aspects of semantic motivation and coinage.On the aspect of semantic motivation,this paper analyzes it from six different angles:shape of 、 color smell and sound of the objects、property or action characteristics 、 time and place 、 word-formation material or function or source and recognition attitude of people.On the aspect of coinage,this paper analyzes the special combination methods of assembling、attaching and reformation methods of tonal modification in Fengcheng dialect.Chapter Four:Acceptation analysis of Fengcheng dialect words.This paper analyzes Fengcheng dialect word on the aspect of words meaning、grammar functional meaning and color meaning.Chapter Five : Layer analysis of Fengcheng dialect words.This paper analyzes it from the ancient dialect、Gan dialect、Hakka dialect、Xiang dialect and mandarin.There are a great number of ancient dialect words remained in Fengcheng dialect,at the same time,it communicated with dialect district around them and absorbed some words in Hakka and Xiang dialect.As the universal language in the country,Mandarin has deep influence on Fengcheng dialect words.Chapter Six : Vocabulary of Fengcheng dialect.In reference the <survey of Chinese dialect words and expressions>,we combined with practial Fengcheng dialect and establish the vocabulary.This paper is based on the vocabulary to expand the study.
