In recent years, with the development of economic globalization and learning internationalization, as a new network education platform, the World University City Cyberspace gets increasing attention. This education platform has great significance in solving the problems which exist in our English listening-speaking teaching, such as time consuming and inefficiency, high score but imbecility, “deaf and dumb English”, etc.However, about application of the interactive teaching model based on the World University City Cyberspace in high vocational English listening-speaking teaching, the empirical research is still scanty. As a front-line teacher in higher vocational school, I think that it is necessary to make a deep research on the teaching model about the Vocational English so as to improve it.Therefore, through the new thing-the world University City Cyberspace, taking the teaching model of listening-speaking of public English course in Hunan Technical College of Railway High-speed as the research object, this research aims to analyze how to make the interactive vocational English teaching. On a basis of the theory of constructivism and the input and output theory of the second language acquisition, the research points to the updating situation in our vocational college English teaching model so as to put forward a better interactive English teaching model in high vocational college properly--taking teachers as the directors and students as the cores based on the World University City Cyberspace.This research constructs the interactive teaching model of Vocational English, designs the teaching operating procedures, implements the experiment teaching, train students’ practical ability of language learningto reconstruct a new teaching model to meet the needs of times. This is much significant for the exploration of positive meaning of the interactive teaching model and improvement of the students’ language abilities of listening and speaking based on the World University City Cyberspace.The research continued twelve weeks(from September to December in 2014), took any two natural classes(Each class has 45 students. The total number is 90.) from Grade One of Railway Transportation Department as the research objects, and integrated research tools such as listening and speaking practice, test, interview, questionnaire survey. In order to reflect the application effects of the English listening-speaking interactive teaching model based on the World University City Cyberspace, the author designed three main research questions and launched a comprehensive empirical research:1) What are the effects of the interactive teaching model based on the world University City Cyberspace to the current teaching of listening-speaking of Vocational English? 2)What are the effects of the interactive teaching model based on the world University City Cyberspace to the teaching process of listening-speaking of Vocational English? 3)What are the effects of the interactive teaching model based on the world University City Cyberspace to the teaching results of listening-speaking of Vocational English? Tentative conclusions could be arrived at according to the present study: first, the interactive teaching model based on the World University City Cyberspace can be accepted basically by the students(68.9% of the interviewees). The data from interview and the students’ reflection papers showed that students could accept this new teaching model basically(68.9% of the quizzers), and most of the students havepositive attitude of use the interactive teaching model based on the World University City Cyberspace(76.7% of the quizzers). Second, the interactive teaching model based on the World University City Cyberspace is useful for the students’ ability of English listening and speaking. The research results showed that, after the experiment, students can join the English listening-speaking activities more positively with increasing motivation. They spend more time in listening and speaking of their own free will, benefiting a lot from it. Finally, interactive teaching model is feasible about teaching the public English of listening-speaking in high vocational college based on the World University City Cyberspace.The innovation of this research mainly lies in its research background,namely the interactive teaching model based on the World University City Cyberspace. It aims to explore the instrument and humanity of language teaching in high vocational college to develop the students’ integrated language ability. This idea is also consistent with the purpose of interactive teaching model.
