Investigation And Research From Art Education In Higher Vocational Colleges Of Hebei Province

Arts education is an important means to improve the overall quality of college students, which plays an irreplaceable role of improving the all-round personal qualities of college students’aesthetic taste, dissemination of national arts and culture of other disciplines.As a high-quality vocational college aiming at cultivating and delivering skilled personnel to our nation, it is necessary for students to receive a full range of arts education during school and create popular yet appropriate curriculum for college students and vocational college.This will not only be able to improve the aesthetic quality of the College Students, cultivate character, but also to enable students to experience the art by bringing aesthetic experience, enrich their artistic imagination, promote physical and mental development, improve the quality of students’ culture, which qualified for the society talent.Vocational educational model is based on technical theory and practice. Our current policies and regulations have definite stipulation related to the education of students in vocational colleges and vocational knowledge, skills, and training of teachers, etc. There are only minor requirements in art education.In this paper, we use literature to grasp the current state of the basic requirements of the art vocational college and the basic situation of students in the arts curriculum and arts events; we conduct investigate questionnaire and interview of Hebei Chemical and Pharmaceutical College teachers and students. Distinct groups are described based on individual case investigation in order to receive more accurate research findings.In this paper, Hebei Chemical and Pharmaceutical College is set as a case study with my own teaching experience to illustrate the importance of art education in the following four facets:physical and mental health promotion, aesthetic quality improvement, creativity cultivation, and general quality upgrade.Through the investigation and visit of the Hebei Chemical and Pharmaceutical College teachers and students, we found the art teacher status quo, students’artistic quality, the students’attitude about setting up art courses, the elective art course status quo, the effect of elective art course education, situation of art activities as well as vocational colleges troupe and the setting of the community.Based on these findings and in-depth analysis, we figured out that the current arts education of Hebei Chemical and Pharmaceutical College is lacking of normative curriculum with weak teacher sources, teaching methods, and teaching facilities.In response to these adverse factors, we propose to create arts curriculum that suit student development, establish the concept of lifelong learning, update teacher’s knowledge base, and deepen rationalization of living arts education courses in order to promote the art education and artistic quality of Hebei Chemical and Pharmaceutical College.
