This paper chooses HSK Test Syllabus and The Classification of Chinese Characters in Chinese Language for International Education as the standard, compared the words in primary Chinese textbooks and the words included in syllabus, tried to figure out the matching degree and the recurrence rate of the words, and the words that can be found in the textbooks but not included in the syllabus, then analyzed the matching degree of the words included in the primary Chinese textbooks and the related syllabus in many aspects. By making multi-angle analysis of the words in primary Chinese textbooks, I hope it will provide some advice for the editing of it, and provide some help for teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This paper is made of four parts:Part 1:Introduction. Introducing the reason, status, purpose, meaning of the research. Also introduced the methods and approaches of the research.Part 2:Mainly inspecting the situation of included words in one set of chosen primary Chinese textbooks, in the two syllabuses. This paper included the statistics of the words in every set of the textbooks and analyzed the repeated words in textbooks according to the statistics, and also analyzed the words found in the textbooks but not included in the syllabus.Part 3:Mainly analyzing the matching degree of the words in primary Chinese textbooks and the two syllabuses. In the analysis, I emphatically compared the matching degree of the characters and the words and also analyzed the difference of it. I tried to discuss the laws of relationship between words and related syllabus by making a vertical comparison.Part 4:Advice for the editing of textbooks and the classroom teaching. Firstly, according to the analysis of the Part 3, we thought the principle of relationship between the words and related syllabus must be obeyed. The number of repeated words is inversely proportional to the difficulty of the textbooks. The relationship between the number of the words found in the textbooks but not included in the syllabus and the difficulty of the textbooks. Secondly, this paper also discussed the matching degree, recurrence ratio of the words and the positive effects of the words found in the textbooks but not included in the syllabus.By comparing the words in the textbooks and the two syllabuses, this paper drew a conclusion:overall, the matching degree of the words in textbooks and The Classification of Chinese Characters in Chinese Language for International Education is higher than the matching degree of the words in textbooks and the HSK Test Syllabus. The matching degree of the characters is higher than that of the words. In addition, in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, one must pay attention to the existed laws of relationship between words in textbooks and the matching degree of the syllabus, and only in this way one can instruct the teaching much better. In addition, the matching degree of the words and related syllabus can also be used in editing the textbooks, I expect this paper study a series of data of compiling Chinese textbooks for primary to offer help.
