The article mainly talks about the matching situation of the vocabulary and the grammar between The International Chinese Teaching Syllabus(Revised Edition)and Official Examination Papers of HSK(Level 4)to check out whether the Syllabus match up HSK4 exam to the fullest extent and meanwhile,to point out the problems of the vocabulary and grammar of Level Four of the Syllabus.Furthermore,some suggestions will be given to adjust the vocabulary and grammar of Level Four of the Syllabus.In the end,the tutoring and exam-oriented methods are required to cater for the vocabulary and grammar of Level Four.First of all,The paper gathers all vocabulary of HSK4 which exists in Syllabus and try to analyze the matching degree of the vocabulary between The International Chinese Teaching Syllabus(Revised Edition)and Official Examination Papers of HSK(Level 4)from the aspect of the coverage rate,repetition rate as well as the vocabulary that is not included in Syllabus.The result is: the coverage rate is relatively high and the average coverage rate is 80.17%.There are 425 high frequency vocabulary of Level 4 in HSK4 exams and it accounts for 70.83% of absolute vocabulary of level 4,which manifests the high repetition rate between them.In terms of the vocabulary that is not included in Syllabus,the Syllabus takes all-round consideration of the vocabulary of HSK4.Secondly,in the aspect of the grammar,the paper collects all grammars of HSK4 which appears in Syllabus and make an analysis of matching situation between the both.We find the average rate is low and only reaches 45.93%.This is not that positive to some extent.The repetition rate is also low,which is only 48.15%.While what is positive is that the average rate of the grammar that is not included in Syllabus is 12.52%.This indicates the matching degree is positively good in this aspect.By analyzing the vocabulary and the grammar,there are indeed good points but still have some problems in the arrangement and content.Therefore,we give some suggestions for adjustment.Finally,the paper puts forward some advice on tutoring and exam-oriented strategies of HSK4 exam.
