| With the development of Chinese economy, with more and more interaction with other countries, Chinese international education has been paid more attention and has a faster development. Taking Chinese international education In Confucius Institute at North South University, Bangladesh as a case, surveying the Bangladeshi Chinese language teaching on its current situation of Chinese teaching, there were some problems. Chinese institutes are unevenly distributed, local Chinese teachers is less, Chinese textbooks are out of the times, teaching form is too simple, there are conflicts between teaching time and students’ life time, languages teaching is not competitive enough compared with other languages, political situation of the country is not stable, economy is relatively backward, and government and people do not pay enough attention to education. All of these have hindered Chinese international teaching to develop in Bangladesh.Based on the current situations, through study on the Bangladeshi Chinese language teaching center and its teaching conditions, compared with the developed countries good at language promotion, especially the newly-developed South Korean, conclusions can be drawn that Chinese language education can’t prosper without learning from these countries, it has to adapt to the unstable political situation of Bangladesh, International studies in this realm need to improve, investments have to be added in these centers, teaching staff in Chinese and Bangladesh have be trained to satisfy the demands, textbooks and exercises need to be renewed with times and conditions of this country, and the mechanism of students’ encouraging need to be bettered. In a word, Chinese language education in Bangladesh is still having a long and arduous journey. |
