The Dialect Folk Words Of Shen County

The dialect folk words of Shen County are abundant and specific. This paper, based on field research, combines with different kinds of dialect folk words of Shen County, and analyzes from their lexical structure, characteristics and the cultural factors behind the words. In order to interpret the relationship between local dialect folk words and culture on the basis of understanding the characteristics of Shen County dialect.This paper is divided into four parts. The first chapter mainly introduces the profile of Shen County and Shen County dialect. In the second chapter, the folk words of Shen County dialect are introduced, classified and explained. The third chapter analyzes the folk words of Shen County dialect from the aspects of lexical structure and lexical characteristics. This paper collects 232 folk words and phrases. Including 75 verb words and phrases, which is accounted 32.32% of the total. There are also 142 noun words and phrases, which is accounted 61.2% of the total. This chapter analyzes the lexical feature of folk words of Shen County form morphological and semantic. The last chapter focuses on the relationship of Shen County dialects folk words and social culture, mainly analyses form three aspects of archaic words retention(include 29 words, which is accounted 12.5% of the total), geographical environment(include 41 words, which is accounted 17.67% of the total) and people’s psychological(include 28 words, which is accounted 12.07% of the total).Finally, the conclusions are : firstly, the difference between the dialect folk words of Shen County and mandarin mainly depends on the different method of word formation and the word creation. Secondly,in all kinds of cultural effect factors, the effect of geographical environment is much bigger than effect of words retention and people’s psychology.
