Along with social progress and the continuous development ofmarket economy, the growing sports clubs play an important role incultivating talents of competitive sports in China, and have madegreat contribution to the development of competitive sports of China.Known as the national sport in China, table tennis has a broadmass base. Meanwhile, the table tennis also belongs to theadvantages of traditional sports in Shanxi province. The key to keepup this advantage is to cultivate teenager talents. As an importantplace in addition to school, clubs play irreplaceable roles incultivating teenager talents. Therefore, a comprehensiveunderstanding of current teaching situation of table tennis clubs inShanxi province has a very important significance.The writer has conducted a questionnaire survey on the coachesand athletes in national table tennis clubs for teenagers in somemajor cities of Shanxi Province. The writer conducted data statistics and analysis through Excel and SPSS20.0to find out and analysis thedeficiencies and affecting factors.The gender ratio of athletes is imbalance. There are only25.9%ofathletes re female. The proportion of rural and non-only-child athletesis as many as66.5%and59.5%of the total number. The ways ofathletes to grip racket are relatively reasonable, in which the lefthand way is only20.3%of the total. The playing style of athletes is notreasonable enough. There are only13chop players that account foronly13.3%of the total number. Athlete’s training time and frequencyare basically enough. Most of the athletes are training over6-8times aweek with enough time. However, there are few chances to take partin matches.The average age of coaches tends to be young. Most of them haveonly a few years’ working experience and low titles. The evaluationsystem is also imperfect. Besides, the coaches have no training planfor many years, and few chances to participate in job training.There are following effect factors: the relevant policy is imperfect;attention of superior authorities is not much enough; scientific levelof coaches is low; education system and training system areuncoordinated; the economic development is imbalance; theevaluation system is imperfect; sports venues and facilities are notenough. These seven factors have a significant impact on development of talent training of the table tennis clubs for teenagersin Shanxi Province.
