The Application Of SIEMENS PCS7 System In Oil Tank Farm Of SINOPEC Tianjin Branch

As the rapid growth of Sinopec companies, the control level requied by their process flow is higher than ever, in most cases, the automatic control level directly determines the accuracy of PID, during the whole process of the petrochemical industries, tank farm automatic control plays a fundamental role in production equipments' safty, stable running and the planning of the petroleum liquids' meter custody transfers and the dynamics of tank farm. Therefore, tank farm automatic control is the key process for the petrochemical industries engineering from process to construction, the principal means to achieve the PID control goals, the basis of the factory installation design. So for an engineering project, if to design construction drawings according to existing PID or process package, selecting suitable field instruments, interior automatic control equipments and rsearching a set of control scheme suiting for technological conditions is particularly important and of great practical significance.This article analysed the automation equipment development status on processing units of the petrochemical enterprises at home and abroad, take Tianjin Branch 1M ton/year oil refining project for example, analysing its process configuration and requirements, formulated a suitalbe automatic instruments plan by using SIEMENS PCS7 System. This article explained the concept of SIEMENS PCS7 System Totally Integrated Automation(TIA).PCS7 system covers from raw material input to the output of finished products, from production site eventually to production control level, connected to company management, meets the requirements of tank fields control, achieves the acquisition, remote transmission, monitor of the signal from tank fields' level, temperature, pressure, flow, field valve control and its feedback, meanwhile, introduces SIEMENS PCS7 system network structure and the software and hardware redundancy realization method in details.
