Due to the fact that a workshop is the occurring place of all problems, the source of information and source of values, on-site improvement plays a key role in the enterprise management, and is the measuring criteria for the operating condition of a company. As the deepening of on-site management, the on-site improvement requires the involvement of all employees to continuously improve the production site and solve problems found in the workshop. The on-site improvement can realize reasonable allocation of production elements, maximize economic values and help a company to improve its competiveness.Firstly, by analyzing the current situation of railway freight car manufacture industry in China, the thesis points out the inevitability of QRRS to carry out on-site improvement and fully implement Lean Production. The thesis also introduces researches(including method, content and significance) in related fields both at home and abroad. Secondly, the thesis introduces the general conditions of the pressing and cutting workshop of QRRS, and studies research results of on-site improvement both at home and abroad. Based on five dimensions(product quality, production costs, delivery cycle, production safety and production environment) widely recognized in both theoretical field and enterprises, the thesis analyzes problems and causes of problems in the QRRS workshop. According to the analysis results, the thesis puts forward the goals and principles of the on-site improvement, sets up an improvement system and compiles an improvement scheme combining the theories of Lean Production. The on-site improvement has been carried out according to the improvement scheme. Qualitative and quantitative analysis has been carried out on the improvement case. Situations before and after the improvement, have been compared, and the improvement results have been verified. Then by analyzing direct benefit and indirect benefit and combining the whole process of the improvement implementation, the practical improvement model has been set up according to the thought of “improvement dimensions-improvement analysiscompiling improvement scheme-improvement benefit analysis”. At last, the thesis summarizes the subject and points out the innovative points, shortcomings and directions for future research and study.Based on the successful application of the on-site improvement in QRRS pressing and cutting workshop for the purpose of Lean Production, the thesis puts forward a practical model that is suitable to be applied in other workshops in QRRS, which has a far-reaching influence on the on-site management in QRRS. The research can also provide valuable reference for companies in the manufacturing industry to realize Lean Production. |
