Since entered into the 21 century, the Chinese lime industry has made great progress in technology. Because of the technical advantages and scale advantages of the lime rotary kiln which enjoy the relatively low investment cost, good product quality and high sale price,the production technology and equipment of lime rotary kiln has been popularized. Lime rotary kiln production process control is more complex including many technical parameterslike supply of raw materials production, product quality and yield rate of calcinations, material movement speed, calcination temperature, fuel supply, combustion supporting air, the second volume, kiln of kiln tail pressure of the process parameters and kiln conditions, automation and control complex, and if only rely on the traditional PID control,it is difficult to achieve stable control. Therefore, this paper focuses on the process of the lime rotary kiln more complex automatic control of temperature and the automatic control of the air flow in the kiln.The temperature control of rotary kiln and the control of air flow rate are two very important contents in rotary kiln production.The production and products quality are directly affected by the temperature control and flow rate control. Based on the analysis of the technology and equipment for the production of lime rotary kiln, temperature control of the main parameters of the calcined with temperature and the kiln tail pressure areselected as the control object, and the control is done by adjusting the gas flow and kiln tail fan motor frequency. Control system combining with fuzzy control theory and with MATLAB software to carry out automatic control algorithm design, the control algorithm of the test is carried outthrough the Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes lime rotary kiln production line.The temperature control of rotary kiln is controlled by the calcination temperatureand the gas flow. In the rotary kiln air flow control using fuzzy control and PID control of tandem type, first kiln tail pressure values will be set according to the gas quantity and the feeding amount and then PID control will control kiln tail pressure automaticly. In this paper, the MATLAB fuzzy controller fuzzy is used to do simulate test on the two control systemsand has achieved good results.In lime rotary kiln production line in the course of the experiment, the windows operating system achieve the function of data communication between MATLAB and WinCC softwareby containing function of DDE communication. Actual production process control is realized byscript filegenerated in MATLAB operation in the production line monitoring IPC operation. The experiment of temperature control and air flow control in kiln shows that these two control programs can replace manual operation and get better control effect.
