As one of the major measures for the control of pipeline corrosion, cathode protection technology has been widely used in buried oil and gas pipelines.The evaluation of cathodic protection effect of pipelines is directly affected by the cathodic protection potential.In most cases, artificial inspection along the pipeline to measure the value of cathodic protection potential is how to get the voltage. But low efficiency and big error are the characteristics of the method. In addition, with the rapid development of industry, there is much AC stray current in the pipeline. It is of great significance for the control of pipeline corrosion to measure an AC voltage signal.To these problems, this paper presents an acquisition and transmission scheme of cathodic protection parameters, which is based on STM32 microcontroller and GSM/GPRS. In order to achieve the acquisition of cathodic protection parameters and wireless transmission, the acquisition and transmission system is designed. In this paper, the overall design of the data acquisition system is introduced, and the hardware and software design of the system are described. First of all, the master controller chip of the data acquisition is STM32 microcontroller which has the characteristics of high performance and low power consumption. Cathodic protection potential, AC voltage, and temperature data are collected by the data acquisition. To ensure the accurate measurement of cathodic protection potential, it is necessary to attenuate alternating signal through a low-pass filter. The true RMS method is used for voltage RMS measurement. Secondly, GSM/GPRS module is controlled by STM32, and the collected data is sent out by means of SMS. Finally, upper machine software is designed by using language C#. Then a remote data acquisition experiment is implemented in the laboratory. It has been shown by experimentation that the system can realize automatic acquisition and transmission of the cathodic protection potential. Moreover, the measurement precision of cathodic protection potential has reached 10 mV. For AC voltage, its measurement precision has reached 0.1V. The temperature precision has reached 0.1?C.
