Pipeline transportation is the mainway totransport petroleum and natural gas,but the buried pipeline which under the influence of nature and external environmental,its corrosion phenomena has become increasingly severe.This will lead to petroleum and natural gas leakage and it will bring great threat in safety production and environmental protection,at the same time it also can cause great economic loss to the state.The main oil and gas pipelines in our country are mostly distributed in that areas like sparsely populated,high altitude,ruthless,how to effectively monitor whether the pipeline is in a state of corrosion is a problem needed to resolve.The paper through in-depth investigation,analyzes the performance of material anddetection method,studies research status at home and abroad of cathodic protection and WebGIS,the cathodic protection potential is used as the main basis for measuring whether the buried pipeline is in the state of corrosion,according to the field environmental conditions and the actual demand,the paper designed the acquisition system of pipeline cathodic protection potential based on remote communication.The system is composed of intelligent potential acquisition and remote management system.Firstly,the paper carries on the plan design and the feasibility study of hardware structure of intelligent potential acquisition system,and ten modules of the intelligent electric potential acquisition system whichcontains main controller circuit,power supply,clock,Flash storage,GPS,wireless communication system,signal adjusting,data acquisition,communicationinterface and network extension are described respectively.The circuit schematic and the final real figure of intelligent potential acquisition system's hardware are given.Secondly,in this paper,the software design idea and its realization of intelligent electric potential acquisition system are described in detail.The software design strictly observes working process.It can collect natural potential and ON/OFF protential information,and compatible with CDMA and GPRS remote communication system,can transfer data and instructions,complete data interaction and instructions executing between plant floor equipment and upper management system.Finally,the paper introduces management system data records and statistical models based on WebGIS.It can generate a variety of data curves and reports in management terminal PC,and provides rich data statistics support for experts,engineers and technicians to assesscurrent protection state of pipeline.Furthermore,managers can view the status of the current pipeline and the location of the device in real time on the web page,and they can also be through the web page on the intelligent electric potential acquisition system for the operations like power on/off time setting,ON/OFF time setting and program download,so that it can improve the level of informatization and automation of pipeline management.After testing,the system of cathodic protection intelligent potential acquisition has stable operation,collected data accurately,uploaded dada reliably,it meets the needs of enterprises for the type of products.
