In recent years, with the scale of oil depot, an incr ease in the number of storage tank, the oil storage, loading and unloading, and management of higher and higher demands are proposed. Oil depot is a major industrial hazard, oil explosive and combustibility brought many unsafe factors, to fuel depot and terminal all over the country, in the event of fire, explosion and other accidents, will cause significant damage to property and injuries. Therefore, safe and reliable design of tank farm monitoring and control system, real-time monitoring of oil depot, control, alarm, discover oil depot safety hidden danger in time, avoid oil depot safety accidents has important significance.Oil tank all over the country has wide distribution, large quantity, highly risk feature. Oil tank's safety concept is becoming deeper. But industry in China started later, however, the experience using DCS system to process control is less, the lack of mature and reliable engineering experience, most ready-made projects abroad, but in fact the environment between at home and abroad has different national conditions, need us according to actual condition. After preliminary draw lessons from foreign products, domestic industrial independent innovation. The quality of DCS system's hardware and the safety and reliability of DCS system's software, are also can't reach the customers' demand. But with the development of DCS system in industrial technology, the reliability of oil depot safety requirements, using DCS system control in tank farms is must to go through the process and face the problem.With the development of our country industrialization level, whether in oil depot design level or DCS system's technology, has the progress by leaps and bounds. Tank farm monitoring and control system was designed based on the DCS system, first study the background and status of the oil tank. Second, design the technology and analysis the technological process and parameters, determine the instrument selection, design interlock control for innovative design and puts forward the dual interlocking scheme. Then, detailed analysis was carried out on the hardware and software of DCS system research, finally determine the configuration required for this research topic hardware parts, adopts the most advanced hollysys MACS 6 configuration software, the oil depot and the bottom of the screen configuration design. Finally, simulation and possible conditions on the system simulation and debugging, the control circuit, interlocking trigger, and flow chart were analyzed, further optimize the system, determine the safety and reliability.
