The Study Of Residents’ Willingness To Pay For Smog Reduction In Ji’nan

At present,China facing serious environmental problems,the air pollution problem is particularly serious.Because of huge emissions of pollutants,China’s environmental problems continue to deteriorate.Overall,these pollutants are divided into two categories,a class of pollutants emissions rise,the other pollutants declined but the absolute emissions of pollutants is still large.The environmental problems caused a very serious impact on China.Air pollution directly endanger human life and health,although the air quality in Shandong province has improved in year-on-year terms,but it is still relatively serious in China area.So it is necessary to study the smog reduction in Ji’nan.The purpose of this paper is to explore the amount of willingness to pay for smog reduction,as well as the factors that affecting residents’ willingness to pay in Ji’nan.The Contingent Valuation Method is applied in this paper to designed questionnaire,and a survey in the residents of Ji’nan city was carried out at random,these method is applied to assess the residents’ willingness to pay in Ji’nan.Then the paper use logit model to make a quantitative analysis,investigating the factors that affecting residents’willingness to pay for the haze governance in Ji’nan,in the end,this paper assessed the amount of willingness to pay for the residents in Ji’nan.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1,65.74%of the respondents are willing to pay for the city of Ji’nan haze governance.The average WTP was 21.26 Chinese yuan,per person,per month.2,Gender,education,household income,personal monthly expenses,the objective cognition of haze,he residents’ trust degree for the government(whether to believe government’s policies and enforcement)have a significant impact on the willingness to pay.3,Women have low education,residents who have higher household income and low expenditure,the residents who pay more attention to the air quality and the residents who trust on government policy have higher payouts for smog reduction in Ji’nan.Marital status,practice,residence time and the subjective perception of air quality and whether have confidence on smog reduction has no significant effect.Finally,according to the research results,this paper puts forward some policy recommendations for the haze governance.
