Effect Of TEAS On Affecting Oxytocin And Vasopressin Levels And Improving The Pregnancy Outcome In Patients With Anxiety And Depression

Object: This clinical test research conducted transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS) intervention on the patients with anxiety and depression symptoms that prepared to conduct vitro fertilization and embryo transplantation technology(IVF-ET) promoting gestation, then observed the influence of TEAS on anxiety, depression status and pregnancy result of patients, and tried to explain the internal mechanism that TEAS may intervene anxiety and depression emotion.Method: Randomly divided the women with infertility, had anxiety, depression symptoms and prepared to accept IVF-ET promoting gestation into Test Group of 60 cases, Consolation Group of 60 cases and Blank Control Group of 60 cases. From the the first day of down-regulation, took TEAS treatment for one time per day on Test Group until HCG day, enjoined the patients to make reasonable work, rest, appropriate exercise and be relax; from the first day of down-regulation, Mock TEAS for one time per day on Consolation Group until HCG day, enjoined the patients to make reasonable work, rest, appropriate exercise and be relax; as for Blank Control Group, enjoined the patients to make reasonable work, rest, appropriate exercise and be relax. Then took control over stimulate ovulation treatment on the three groups according to the normal plan. On the the first day of down-regulation, extracted AVP and OXT of patients in the three groups as the serum hormone levels before intervention, at the same time, conducted SAS/SDS scoring as the scoring before intervention; on the HCG day, extracted AVP and OXT of patients in the three groups as the serum hormone levels after intervention, and conducted SAS/SDS scoring again as the scoring after intervention. Analyzed the serum AVP and OXT changes, anxiety and depression score changes before and after intervention of patients in three groups, then compared the retrieved oocyte number, fertilization rate, high quality embryo rater, cycle cancellation rate, biochemical pregnancy rate and clinical pregnancy rate of patients in the three groups.Result: 1. Before intervention, there were no obvious difference of patients in three groups in ages, body mass index and years of infertility(variance analysis, p>0.05). 2. There were no obvious difference in the comparison among groups of SAS and SDS scores before treatment of patients in three groups(variance analysis, p>0.05); after treatment of Test Group and Consolation Group, both the SAS and SDS scores reduced, there was significant differences in the result(t inspection, p<0.05); there was no obvious change in SAS and SDS scores of Control Group after treatment(t inspection, p>0.05); SAS and SDS scores of Test Group after treatment was lower than Consolation Group, there were statistical differences(LSD inspection, p<0.05). 3. There were no obvious difference in the comparison among groups of serum AVP and OXT before treatment(variance analysis, p>0.05). After treatment, the serum AVP level of Test Group reduced, while the serum OXT level raised, there was statistical significance in the difference(t inspection, p<0.05); there were no obvious difference of serum AVP and OXT in other two groups before and after treatment(t inspection, p>0.05). 4. There were no obvious difference in retrieved oocyte number, fertilization number, and high quality embryo rate of patients in three groups(variance analysis, p>0.05). 5. There was no statistical difference in cycle cancellation rate of patients in three groups(chi-square inspection, p>0.05); the biochemical pregnancy rate of Test Group was higher than that of Consolation Group and Blank Control Group(chi-square inspection, p<0.05); the clinical pregnancy rate of Test Group was higher than that of Consolation Group and Blank Control Group(chi-square inspection, p<0.05).Conclusion: TEAS could increase pregnancy rate of IVF-ET patients, release their anxiety and depression state, its possible action mechanism was that TEAS could raise serum OXT level and reduce serum AVP level.
