Clinical Research Of Zhuang Medicine Acupuncture On Posterior Circulation Ischemic Vertigo

Objective: Through the clinical research of Zhuang medicine acupuncture on posterior circulation ischemic vertigo(PCIV),and the observation on the electrophysiological index changes adopting brainstem auditory evoked potential(BAEP),to explore the clinical effect and safety of Zhuang medicine acupuncture,and to provide objective clinical evidences for Zhuang medicine acupuncture on PCIV.Methods: A total of 66 PCIV patients were randomly divided into control group(n=33)and treatment group(n=33).All patients received a conventional treatment(high blood pressure patients using benzene sulfonic acid amlodipine,hyperlipidemia patients using atorvastatin calcium,diabetic patients using insulin).On the basis of conventional treatment,patients of control group took betahistine mesylate tablets as the symptomatic treatment,while patients of treatment group received Zhuang medicine acupuncture at Faxuan acupoint,Longji acupoints and Xiangleng acupoints(Zhuang medicine acupoints).Clinical overall efficacy,(traditional Chinese medicine,TCM)symptoms,changes of BAEP graph peak latency(PL),and inter peak latency(IPL)between two groups were compared before and after treatment.Results:(1)Clinical overall efficacy: PCIV clinical symptoms of 2 groups has improved.Improvement of treatment group was better than that of control group(P < 0.05);(2)TCM syndrome score: PCIV TCM syndrome score of 2 groups has improved.Improvement of treatment group was better than that of control group(P < 0.05);(3)BAEP indicators: after treatment,improvement of Ⅰ,Ⅴ waves of PL andⅠ-Ⅲ,Ⅲ-Ⅴ waves of IPL of treatment group was better than that of control group(P< 0.05).Conclusion: Zhuang medicine acupuncture has a significant curative effect for PCIV,which is esay to perform and without side effect.It is a helpful supplement to the clinical treatment for PCIV.
