Objective In recent years,there are many reports about UVA or 308 nm excimer laser treatment of vitiligo in the literature,but the reports about the UVA1 or 308nm excimer light treatment of vitiligo is relatively small,and the study focused on the laser combination of external drug treatment.UVA1 and 308 nm excimer light therapy has not yet seen in the treatment of vitiligo reported in the literature.In this study,UVA1 combined with 308 nm excimer light treat with vitiligo patients,to explore whether the combination therapy is better than UVA1 or308 nm excimer light alone.Methods Selection three symmetrical or adjacent lesions on the body of 30 patients with vitiligo,using the research methods of own control study,were randomly divided into 308 nm excimer light group and UVA1 laser group and combined treatment group,each group had 30 lesions.The combined treatment group irradiated with 308 nm excimer light and UVA1 laser.The 308 nm excimer light group using only 308 nm excimer light irradiation therapy,the UVA1 laser group only used UVA1 laser irradiation.Each group irradiated 2 times a week,observed 1 time every 4 weeks,the treatment was 12 weeks in total.Before and after the treatment,each group was followed up every 4 weeks.After 3 days of the treatment,the curative effect should be evaluated and the unwelcome reactionsshould be analyzed.Other external drugs or oral drugs should not be used during the treatment.Results After 8 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate of the combined treatment group was higher than that of the UVA1 laser group,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The total effective rate of the combined treatment group was higher than that of the 308 nm excimer laser group,the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).The total effective rate of the 308 nm excimer laser group was higher than that of the UVA1 laser group,the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate of the combined treatment group was higher than that of the UVA1 laser group,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The total effective rate of the combined treatment group was higher than that of the 308 nm excimer laser group,the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).The total effective rate of the 308 nm excimer laser group was higher than that of the UVA1 laser group,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment,for the head and neck lesions,the total effective rate of the combined treatment group was higher than that of the UVA1 laser group,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The total effective rate of the combined treatment group was higher than that of the 308 nm excimer laser group,the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).The total effective rate of the 308 nm excimer laser group was higher than that of the UVA1 laser group,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).For the trunk lesion,the total effective rate of the combined treatment group was higher than that of the 308 nm excimer group and the UVA1 laser group,but the efficacy of the three groups by the rank test P> 0.05,so that the difference between the three groups was not statistically significant.For the limbs lesion,the total effective rate of the combined treatment group was higher than that of the 308 nm excimer group and the UVA1 laser group,but the efficacy of the three groups by the rank test P> 0.05,so that the difference between the three groups was not statistically significant.The combined therapy group compared with the other two groups in the incidence of unwelcome reactions was not statistic allysignificant(P>0.05),UVA1 laser treatment group's unwelcome reactions was17.86%,which was less than two other groups.Conclusion After 8 weeks of treatment,the combination therapy was not superior to single 308 nm excimer light therapy,but better than single UVA1 laser treatment.After 12 weeks of treatment,the combination therapy was not superior to single 308 nm excimer light therapy,but both were better than single UVA1 laser.The effective rate of the combined therapy for the head and neck,trunk,limb,slightly higher than single 308 nm excimer light or UVA1.The combined therapy is especially applicable for head and neck treatment of patients with vitiligo.
