| Objective:The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction on the peripheral neurotoxicity classification and the EMG before and after chemotherapy.It can provide a reliable clinical data and clinical basis for the prevention and treatment of adverse reactions after chemotherapy in the patients with malignant tumor.The ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life of the patients with chemotherapy.Method:A prospective,randomized controlled clinical study is used.The selected sample size is 66.Patients who met the inclusion criteria are enrolled and randomly grouped in the time as a compatibility factor by the use of randomized block design.Patients were treated with FolFox6.These patients were divided into the treatment group(traditional Chinese medicine +chemotherapy)and the control group(chemotherapy alone).Each group included 33 cases.The patients of the treatment group began oral Chinese medicine from the first chemotherapy to the end of six cycles of chemotherapy.They were treated with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction.The patients of control group were treated with chemotherapy alone.The data needed for the study included peripheral neurological symptoms after chemotherapy,the motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)and sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)of each nerve before chemotherapy and after six cycles of chemotherapy.The data also included safety indicators.Finally,the data are analyzed and summarized.Results:1.The incidence of symptoms and signs of peripheral neurotoxicity in the treatment group is lower than in the control group.And clinical symptoms are mild compared with the control group(P<0.01).2.The data of the motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)before and after chemotherapy shows a downward trend.In the treatment group,there is significant difference in the left ulnar nerve and the left ventricle(P<0.05).There is no significant difference in the right median nerve,the right median nerve,the right ulnar nerve and the right peroneal nerve(P>0.05).In the control group,there is significant difference in left median nerve,right median nerve,left ulnar nerve and right ulnar nerve before and after chemotherapy(P<0.05).There is no significant difference in right ulnar nerve and right peroneal nerve(P>0.05).3.There are significant differences in motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)of the right median nerve between the two groups(P<0.05).There is no significant difference in MNCV of the left ulnar nerve between the two groups before and after chemotherapy(P>0.05).There is no significant difference in other nerves between the two groups(P>0.05).If you ignore the type of motor nerve,there is no significant difference between the two groups before and after chemotherapy(P>0.05)and there is no significant difference between the two groups after chemotherapy(P>0.05).4.The data of the sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)before and after chemotherapy shows a downward trend.The differences between these sensory nerves before and after chemotherapy are statistically significant(P<0.01).There is significant difference between the two groups after chemotherapy(P<0.01).Conclusion:Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction is meaningful in the prevention and treatment of peripheral nerve toxicity caused by oxaliplatin chemotherapy.It can prevent the occurrence and aggravation of symptoms of peripheral nerve neurotoxicity. |
