Objectives: To investigate the differences in resting heart rate,QTc interval,Tp-Te interval and blood pressure between two healthy young people of Tibetan and Han nationality in the plateau area at different elevations and degrees of hypoxia.Preliminary clarify the effects of hypoxic environment at different elevations on healthy young people and the risks of them getting potential cardiovascular diseases. To understand whether there are ethnic differences between young Tibetan and the people of Han nationality.Drawing attention to this field and early predicting the risks of sudden cardiac death in healthy young people while providing the basis for the prevention of the occurrence and development of cardiovascular disease. Methods: The subjects were divided into eight groups according toelevati on,ethnicity, and gender. In the same period of time, medical and physical exa minations, routine blood tests, liver and kidney function test are performed.Bl ood lipids and blood glucose are tested, blood pressure monitored.Ultrasound and chest X-ray examinations were completed.Electrocardiograph was used to record the 12-lead body surface electrocardiogram at resting state with the pa per speed of 25 mm/s and the calibration voltage of 10 mm/mV.The subject's number, name and other info-rmation were input in sequence. After the EC G waveform on the electrocardi-ograph display was stable,ECG recording start s.Each lead recording time was no less than 30 seconds. At the same time, mercury sphygmomanometer was used to monitor the blood pressure of the su bjects. Results: The resting heart rate of young Tibetan and young people of Han nationality in Yushu was lower than the people who was in the same ethnic group in Xining. The resting heart rate of young healthy Tibetan was lower than that of Han nationality at the same elevation. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the Tibetans and Hans in Xining, the QTc interval and TP-Te interval of the young people in Yushu were prolonged. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The blood pressure of Tibetans and Hans living in B was lower than the same group of people in Xining. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At the same elevation, there was no statistically significant difference in QTc interval,TP-Te interval, and blood pressure between healthy young people of Tibetan and Han nationality(P>0.05).Conclusions: Resting heart rate and blood pressure in young healthy population in Yushu were lower than those in Xining.QTc interval and TP-Te interval were longer than those in Xining. The resting heart rate of Tibetan was lower than that of Han nationality at the same elevation. The risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in young healthy adults of Tibetan and Han nationality living at the same elevation and hypoxia environment may not be different.
