Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, 3 February 1809 – 4 November 1847), widely known as Felix Mendelssohn, was a German composer, pianist, organist and conductor of the early Romantic period. Born into a prominent and wealthy Jewish family, Felix Mendelssohn had a comfortable and peace life. Between year of 1829 and 1845, he created “Songs Without Words”, the most famous solo piano compositions in the world. In his whole lifetime, he wrote 49 songs without words. This series of piano pieces is magnum opus of Mendelssohn music style, played by “The King of Musical Instruments”—Piano. It is beautiful like a melodious song without lyric. He was good at integrating his emotional melody into religious classical forms. Not only a passionate and natural composer, he was also a painter with delineative brush to describe society, humanity, nature and personal emotions, which is the reason why his music was hailed as “Descriptive Romanticism”.
