This dissertation is the summary and reflection of the author's teaching practice during the period of internship. In 2015, the author was engaged in the primary one to one TCFL in Easy Mandarin. In the process, the author attempted to apply task-based approach, making bold exploration and practice.Firstly, the dissertation systemizes the research status of one to one TCFL and task-based approach. Secondly, on the basis of deep understanding of the relevant theory, this dissertation puts forward and proves the feasibility of applying task-based approach to one to one Chinese teaching, which is the theoretical basis of this dissertation as well as the author's teaching practice. The main body of the dissertation introduces the situation of applying task-based approach to one to one teaching process. Using the textbook Experiencing Chinese, which is originally based on the concept of experiencing teaching theory and task-based approach, the author taught “junior 1”, a basic course. This is the precondition prior condition to use task-based approach. The teaching objects of the author are the young foreigners who work in China. Their learning goal is basically consistent, which is to master daily expressions in communication, but their learning motivation and attitude are not same. What is more, they have different time in learning Chinese, especially the time in class. In view of this situation, the author designed different tasks while in the implementation of the basic consistent teaching design. Case one shows the teaching process of expressing location and existence, in which, the students' needs are basically the same. Designing roughly the same tasks, the author tried to guide in the concrete implementation respectively according to the different circumstances of their tasks. The teaching topic of case two is “making a call”. Considering the students' communicative needs are different, the author designed different tasks for the three students. And then, the process of teaching one of the students to book takeout is showed. The author do the summary and reflection of the process as well as the effect of applying task-based approach, believing that applying task-based approach to one to one TCFL can meet the different needs of my students to the full, improve their communicative ability in Chinese quickly and control the use of media effectively. In addition, it also has other positive effects. But there are still some shortcomings, such as classroom interaction mode is monotonous, the teacher's dual role is difficult to balance and other issues. Therefore, I advise using multimedia platform to help the teacher attend to anything else, taking the students out and introducing the students to make real communication in daily life to promote teaching efficiency. In addition I also give other improvement advice. At last, the development of applying task-based approach to one to one teaching is predicted.
