A Comparative Study And Acoustic Analysis Of The Vowels In Khobtu Torgod Vernacular Of Mongolia And Bayangol Torgod Vernacular In Xinjiang

This thesis mainly uses method of experimental phonetics to make acoustic analysis of the vowels in Khobtu Torgod Vernacular of Mongolia and compares them to the vowels of Bayangol Torgod Vernacular of Xinjiang.This thesis consists of five parts:Introduction,Chapter One,Chapter Two,Chapter Three and Conclusion.The Introduction briefly introduces the formation of Oirat tribe and Oirat dialect,the general situation and the distribution of Torgod tribe and Torgod vernacular,the previous study,basis of topic selection,the research purpose,the research basis and the research methods.Chapter One describes the distribution features,types and the sound quality features of the word-initial short vowels and non-initial short vowels of Khobtu Torgod Vernacular of Mongolia,and compares them to those of Bayangol Torgod Vernacular of Xinjiang.Chapter Two describes the distribution features,types and the sound quality features of the word-initial long vowels and non-initial long vowels of Khobtu Torgod Vernacular of Mongolia,and compares them to those of Bayangol Torgod Vernacular of Xinjiang.Chapter Three observes the types and the sound quality features of the diphthongs of Khobtu Torgod Vernacular of Mongolia,and compares them to those of Khalkha dialect and Bayangol Torgod Vernacular of Xinjiang.Conclusion summarizes the results of the analysis and the comparison.
