| The ever-changing science and technology have brought great changes to society and economy,especially the Internet has accelerated the development of management environment in a complex and changing direction.For enterprises,existing management theories excessively emphasize on external control,which results in the limit in practical applications.Enterprises urgently need a low-cost and efficient management style,which may also act as a positive incentive to members.From employee perspective,environmental changes have brought more choices and possibilities.So,members need to consider more issues,such as how to determine right goals and achieve self-control.Regardless of enterprises and members,self-management may become a common choice for both.Self-management plays a very special role in China’s history and culture.In view of Chinese doctrine of the philosophers as much as a hundred,with some difference between their thoughts,this paper is limited to Pre-Qin Confucian self-management thought,mainly based on the thought of Confucianism,Mencius and Xun and the four books of Confucianism.First,based on existing research results of modern self-management,it can be found that current research is almost the content of Western modern management ideas with the lack of ideas from Chinese traditional culture.The literature is studied by analyzing the existing research results and related interpretations of four books of Confucian,so as to grasp the essence of Pre-Qin Confucian self-management.On the basis of the preparatory work,three methods are used in this paper,which consist of system analysis,management traits analysis and literature research.After that,Pre-Qin Confucian self-management is divided into three parts,including the ideological foundation,the management goal and the basic mode.Management trait analysis is mainly used in two parts,"management objectives" and "basic model".The whole system of thought can be divided into three primary groups,which includes the ideological basis(The theory of human nature),the management goals and the basic mode.Then,with the logic of "basic level-basic connotation" and "basic content-basic method-basic principles",management goals and basic mode are subdivided into smaller traits.By trait analysis,better understanding of traits group of Pre-Qin Confucian self-management can be achieved and basic structure can be roughly built.In the last part of this paper,there are two expansion parts,one is "self-management from the perspective of management culture",the other is "the modern value of Pre-Qin Confucian self-management thought".The first part makes a comparison between modern and Pre-Qin self-management from the perspective of management culture.The second part is about the modern value of Pre-Qin self-management,which is proposed from four perspectives,including individual,interpersonal,organizational and social,so that the essence of traditional Chinese culture can be better inherited and grasped.Therefore,the overall layout of this article is divided into the following four parts.The first part(Chapter 1-2)includes the introduction and the literature review.The second part(Chapter 3-5)is the part of management traits analysis on the pre-Qin Confucian self-management thought.The third part(Chapter 6-7)is the extension and revelation of this paper.The last part(Chapter 8)is the conclusion and prospect of this paper.The innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in the research perspective and methods.First,the perspective of management culture contributes to the comparison between modern self-management and Pre-Qin Confucian self-management,which may provide a reference for cross-cultural research.Second,the innovation of research methods is reflected in the application of management trait analysis.Under the use of system analysis and literature research,this paper comprehensively combs the ideological characteristics of Pre-Qin Confucian self-management and puts forward its modern value. |
