This is the translation project report on Adjusting to a Changing World Part ?:Medium-Term Development released by the World Bank on the Internet in May 2015.The source text elaborates the challenges and risks raised by rapid aging and problems raised by implementation of universal health care in the development of East Asia and Pacific region in the next decades and provides strategies and experiences for EAP.This report has four parts.Part one,introduction of the project.It includes project background,preparation before translation,objectives,significance,and structure of the project report.Part two,introduction to the authors and analysis of the source text.It gives a brief introduction to the authors and analyzes the source text.Part three,translation theory adopted in the targeted text,difficult points and methods.Skopos Theory is applied during the progress of translation.This part elaborates difficulties in the progress of translation,and translation methods.Long sentences,terminologies,together with development status of EAP countries are difficult points.Free translation and reader-centered principle is mainly applied in the process of translation.Word amplification,omission,repetition are also applied in the progress of translation.The last part concludes translation experience in the project report and lessons.While there are still some problems to be solved.
