| Geographical name is an existing social phenomenon and a product of time.There are many places in Zhuang language in Guangxi are named by the ways of thinking of Zhuang people.They embody the culture of Zhuang nationality,and they are also the reflection and record of the relationship between a place and local people.The thesis combined GIS technology with spatial analysis method and statistical method to study the geographical names in Zhuang language from some new aspects.There are two parts in the thesis:1.The writer chose the geographical names in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as the study object,and used Kernel Density Estimation,Trend Analysis method,Bernoulli Model to analyze the distribution of geographical names in Zhuang language in order to find out the rules of it from different aspects.The geographical names in Zhuang language scattered densely in the mid-west.There occurs a large cluster circle in Du’an Yao nationality autonomous county and Dahua Yao nationality autonomous county.The dense distribution of geographical names in Zhuang language has a tendency that moves to the west.And in the east of Guangxi,the geographical names in Zhuang language spread sparsely.2.The thesis classified geographical names according to different characters of names into hill,water,land,field,animal and plant,artificial landscape,settlement system,and family name,and visualized the spatial distribution of geographical names.After studying,the writer reached the conclusion that the areas with geographical names of Zhuang language densely scattered,have comparatively densely scattered geographical names of all kinds.And all of the geographical names are scattered in all study areas,but their scattering is imbalanced.3.The thesis tests the chosen geographical names in Zhuang language,and the result shows that the distribution of geographical names in Zhuang language has a linear correlation with the distribution of Zhuang people,which makes sure the statistical meaning of the sample data.The thesis extracts land form factor from DEM data,used Fractal theory to classify the land forms in Guangxi,and finds that in mountain areas,geographical names in Zhuang language is more than other land forms.Moreover,most of them gathered under 300 m altitude,with slope value between 0°-25° and relief amplitude between 0-30 m.The writer uses statistical analysis and spatial analysis to analyze the geographical characteristics that could be influential to the distribution of geographical names in Zhuang language,including the living distance to the railway,highway,channel,river and important cities,all counties’ economic level.The results are as below: in areas close to the river,geographical names in Zhuang language is densely scattered;in areas far away from important cities,geographical names in Zhuang language is sparsely scattered.And in areas which contain over 50% geographical names in Zhuang language is usually poorer in economy. |
