In modem Chinese, the functional word is an important means used by Chinese to express the meaning of grammar. It can be subdivided into prepositions, conjunctions and auxiliary words. They are indispensable words in Chinese. The types and numbers of functional words are not many, but their meaning is rich and the usage is complicated,which is one of the difficulties when foreign learners learn Chinese. There are often many errors in foreign students' learning function words. One of the reasons is that the arrangement of the functional words in the textbook are not reasonable. However, the irrational arrangement of the functional words in the textbook will affect the teaching of the teachers, and will also affect the students' learning. Therefore, this paper attempts to analyze the "grammar syllabus" ("Grade A") and "new practical Chinese textbooks" and"contemporary Chinese" The two sets of relatively traditional Chinese textbooks in the mainland are used to compare and analyze the differences in the selection of functional words, the order of the functional words and the interpretation of the functional words.Through the comparison,it is found that the two sets of teaching materials have different problems: first, the number of words and categories are limited; second, the order of the function words and their grammar points is not scientific; thirdly, the interpretation of the functional words is not accurate enough. This paper analyzes and evaluates the selection,arrangement and interpretation of the functional words in the two sets of primary Chinese textbooks, and combines the principles of relevance, scientific principles,practical principles and moderately appropriate principles Some suggestions on the teaching of primary Chinese textbooks are presented. In the aspect of the selection of the function words, the scope, the number and the categories of the functional words are expanded. In the aspect of the function words and their grammar points, the order of the functional words is compiled according to the practicality principle such as the degree of difficulty and the frequency of use. In the aspect of the interpretation of the function words,the content of the paraphrase should be scientific and accuracy,and Chinese example should be edited to the words annotation. This is the scientific and systematic nature of the teaching materials for the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, which is of great significance and value to the effectiveness of the teaching and the improvement of the learners' Chinese application ability and practical ability.
