The English-chinese Translation Of What’s The Big Deal About Big Data And A Report On The Translation

This thesis consists of three parts — the English text WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT BIG DATA,its Chinese version,and the report of the translation practice.And this report is based on the translation of English text “WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT BIG DATA”,and consists of five parts — the overview of the translation task,the introduction to the translation process,the guiding theory,the case analysis,and the summery and conclusion.Primarily,the overview of translation task contains introductions to the original text,the author and the significance of the translation practice.Then the introduction to the translation process contains the three steps of translation,with preparation before the practice,difficulties in the translating period,and proofreading as the last step.Part Three introduces the guiding theory of this translation practice.And Part Four is a case analysis,in which the Skopos Theory is used to analyze the translations of some sentences.Finally,the last part makes a summery and conclusion for this practice.
