Bidirectional Empirical Research Of Tima Sacrificial Ceremonyand The Dance Of Tujia Nationality

Timasacrificial ceremony is a unique activity of witchcraft of Tujia Nationality.“Tima” means the person who worship the God in Tujia language,which is the subject of the Tima sacrificial ceremony.At the same time,as a ceremony of traditional culture which is combined with Nuoculture and witch culture,Timasacrificial ceremony of Tujia Nationality has dominated and governed all aspects of the Tujia people's faith and life.Tujia folk dance is the brainchild of Tujia people from generation to generation.It is not only a kind of dance,but also a part of Timasacrificial ceremony.When Tujia folk dance exists as a part of the sacrificial ceremony,its inheritance will inevitably bring more sacred colors,as for the performer ofthe sacrificial ceremony--Tima,it means more responsibilities and obligations.Timasacrificial ceremony and Tujia folk dancehave completedifferent concepts,but they had been bonded together through dance and religious.Therefore,under the guidance of the method and theory of the Anthropology of Music,this thesis will explore the relationship between the Tujia danceroutinesand Timasacrificial ceremony in the view that Tujia folk dance can enrich and promote the development of Timasacrificial ceremony andvice versa.Onthe basis of senior scholars,this thesis will utilize the existing research results and literature data to discuss the dance movements directed bythe research method of Anthropology of Musicfrom the aspects of Tujia culture,and to discuss the cultural connotation of Tujia folk dance by means of the research modes of Folklore and History.This thesis is going to try to combine the cultural connotation withits expressions,and explore the true relationship between Timasacrificial ceremonyand Tujia dance routines.In the process of the development of Tujia nationality,Timasacrificial ceremonyand Tujia dance routines conflict and blend each other,and supplement and promote each other.The Tujia dance in Timasacrificial ceremony is a kind of ceremonydance,which is both of folk rituals and art performance,and will progress and update constantly with the times.As a result,this thesis will describe thesituation of mutual inheritance of Timasacrificial ceremonyand Tujia dance routinesdiachronically and synchronically,and attempt to give a “deep description”of Tujia folk dance andthe dance routine as well as its inheritance of Timasacrificial ceremony,so as to promote the continuous development of Timasacrificial ceremony and Tujia folk dance.
