Taoism,as a local religion in China,has lived for over 2000 years in the long history of Chinese culture.Every stratum affecting the society is closely related to the life and customs of the Chinese people.Baiyun Guan in jiaxian is one of the most famous Taoist shrines in the northwest of China,and it is also a complete and large ancient architectural group of Ming and Qing Dynasties.Since the founding of the Baiyun Guan in the thirty-three years of Ming Wanli,it has been over 400 years.By combing the creation and historical evolution of Baiyun Guan in Jiaxian,this paper finds that Taoism music comes from the true Dao,and then absorbs the original science and music.In the process of development,Buddhism and local folk music are fused.Then it discusses the two aspects of instrumental music and vocal music of Baiyun Guan Taoist music.Finally,taking the morning classes and temple fairs as an example,the paper analyzes the procedures and music of Taoist instruments in Baiyun Guan.The characteristics of Taoist music in Baiyun Guan are summarized from two aspects: rhyme melody and Sheng Guan Qu.This article aims to give readers a better understanding of Taoist music in Jiaxian Baiyun Guan through field investigation and analysis.
