As the key figure in the transformation of modern culture,Hu Shi led the New Cultural Movement and Literary Revolution,because of his outstanding contribution in advocating of Vernacular Lliterature Concept and active creative practice.The effect of Lliterature Movement which leading by Hu Shi,not only reflected in the field of Literary Revolution,but influenced the transformation and development of the history of Chinese education in modern times deeply with its distinctive practical character.The study of this topic,focusing on taking the vernacular literature concept as the starting point of Hu Shi's Chinese education thought,systematically expounds Hu Shi's thoughts and ideas in the field of modern Chinese language education and attempts and breakthroughs in teaching practice.On this basis,it probes into Hu Shi's Chinese curriculum and teaching thought of middle school further under the background of vernacular writing movement,and reflects on the realistic limitation of the Chinese education thought of Hu Shi middle school according to the times,which could deepen our thoughts on how to critically inherit Hu Shi's Chinese Education thought and apply it to Daily Teaching.In order to better promote the Vernacular Movement,Hu Shi combined the vernacular tradition which has stretched for millennia and elevated it to the sacred literary palace from the past common language.Hu Shi had made the deep thinking on the middle school Chinese education in order to get lasting and rapid development of the old literature under the impact of the Old Literature and the Old Educational system.Strictly speaking,these insights which originated from the literary reforming concept of Hu Shi combined with the practice of language education in middle schools.These practices not only enabled the lasting implementation of the concept of education and teaching,but also lead the depth of the development of the vernacular movement,so that the performance of its literary improvement will continue to be enriched.Under the influence of the vernacular literature concept,Hu Shi respected human personality and freedom,claimed the consistent of spoken and written language,faced thereal society and payed more attention to the literature education,which throughout the thought of his middle school Chinese education.This formed the main framework of the concept on Chinese language education of Hu Shi.He putted forward the the aim of Chinese curriculum education was to be able to express ideas freely in vernacular.In the curriculum,he clearly proposed that mandarin should be included in the teaching content of the curriculum and occupied the important position.Therefore,in the selection of textbooks,he attached great importance to the choice of vernacular teaching materials,not only trying to achieve the same emphasis on vernacular textbooks and Chinese teaching materials,but also enriching the novel,drama and other vernacular language teaching applications.In the selection of textbooks,he attached great importance to the choice of vernacular teaching materials,not only trying to achieve the same emphasis on vernacular textbooks and Chinese teaching materials,but also enriching the novel,drama and other vernacular language teaching applications.In the teaching of reading,Hu Shi advocated cultivating students' good habit of reading.He advocated that speech should be replaced by reading,and suggested that paying attention to self-study reading of questioning and discussion,the combination of depth and breadth,the guiding role of teachers,and giving full play to the enthusiasm of students in learning.In terms of composition teaching,Hu Shi put forward to do more translation,proposing the composition proposition should be student-centered,paying attention to the diversification of writing forms and the composition correction,and trying hard to enable the students to express their ideas freely in the Chinese language.In addition,he also attached importance to the role of speeches and debates in the development of national languages,which played its due effect.Hu Shi made a lot of efforts around the implementation of vernacular writing in middle schools,which played an important role in guiding the development of curriculum standards,the compilation of textbooks and the teaching of Mandarin at that time.In conclusion,Hu Shi's educational thought which combined the essence of tradition and modern,It has many aspects that we can learn from today as the result of it secretly close the educational theory of keeping in step with the times.
