With the continuous development of science and technology,higher requirements of image processing system in communication,sea and land traffic monitoring,military and other fields are put forward,high speed and real-time performance has become main indicators in the digital image processing system.In order to break through the limitation of existing image processing hardware platform on transmission and computation,the existing new technology that can improve the performance of image processing system has been investigated and surveyed,an image processing hardware platform based on the VPX serial bus standard is presented in this paper,which is a new FPGA+DSP architecture.On the one hand,the hardware platform relies on strong bandwidth,performance excellent reliability and flexible connection of VPX bus standard,which can enhance the hardware platform's bandwidth advantages and adverse environment advantages;On the other hand,it has played the advantages of Xilinx 7 series FPGA in power consumption,processing performance and interface speed,which can further improve the processing capacity and bandwidth of hardware platform.In addition,the system retains original DSP+FPGA architecture,so that it has the characteristics of strong processing capacity,general and flexible.The inheritance of original and advantage technology and new technologies are used to make the new hardware platform can be applied to a large number of image processing applications field,and this method will let the image processing performance get a further improved.According to the established design scheme,the overall design scheme of system hardware platform is determined in this paper.The hardware platform's schematic is designed,which divided by function and module,and complete the work of layout and routing after determining the overall design plan,than finish the PCB's test and verifies the correction of main interface circuit,and lastly the validity of SRIO high speed network is confirmed.The hardware platform of image processing is designed and implemented,the main interface of new hardware platform is verified.The platform will significantly improve the existing image processing hardware platform's high speed and real-time,with a strong engineering application value.
