Purpose Observe and discuss the clinical effect and safety of internal application of Chinese herbal medication and cupping therapy combined with Azythromycin for MPP,comparing with regular Azythromycin therapy.Methods This study collected 100 cases,who received clinical care or hospital care in Dongfang Hospital.All of them were diagnosed mycoplasma pneumonia inchildren,and TCM syndrome of wind-heat phlegm-heat.They were divided randomly into treatment group and control group 50 cases each.Control group mainly got Azythromycin and symptomatic treatment.The treatment group were given decoction of TCM ’Haoqinmaxingshigantang’ combined with cupping therapy besides of Azythromycin and symptomatic treatment.Then observe and compare the symptom and laboratory examination on exact timing.Judge the effect and safety of treatment group and control group.Results There are significant statistic differences in each group before and after the experiment.Both group get better from each treatment.There are no significant difference between the two group after their treatment on symptoms and laboratory examination.However the treatment group got higher score on main symptom effecting time.It seems the pediatric patients in treatment group cough less longer,be phlegmy less longer,and pulmonary rale disappear sooner.Cure and markedly effective rate of treatment group is 94%significantly higher than control group 78%.Conclusions The effect of the treatment of Chinese herbal medication and cupping therapy combined with Azythromycin for MPP is significant and safe,which can shorten the course of coughing、phlegm and pulmonary rale.
