China is one of the countries that are most severely affected by natural disasters.Among these disasters,geological hazards such as landslides are of high frequency and great harm,which seriously threatens the safety of people's life and properties.This paper briefly describes the development history and current status of slope engineering and methods of slope stability analysis in China.Taking Chang-chun hill landslide beside ding-ma highway in Zhejiang Province as an example,this study qualitatively analyze the landslide formation mechanism and influencing factors through the geological exploration and engineering experiences.Transfer coefficient method was utilized to analyze the slope stability under natural condition,rainstorm condition and seismic condition along typical cross section.Then,the Finite Element Method is used to check the analyses.According to the current design code,the traditional limit equilibrium method(LEM)was used to design the treatment scheme including two control schemes,anti-slide piles and prestressed anchor cables.With the FEM package Midas GTS and strength reduction method(SRM),the construction progress and stability analysis of typical sections were carried out,and then the treatment schemes were evaluated.The results indicate that the treatment effect of anti-slide piles designed on the basis of anti-slide force is different for slopes with different rock/soil properties or different geometry of slopes.The differences were mainly due to the reason,the suggested method by the code with limit balance method assumes that the sliding surface will not change due to installation of anti-slide piles.However,in engineering practice,the most dangerous slide surfaces will evolve the installation of anti-slide piles,which even led to treatment failures sometimes.Through the comparative analysis of the project case,it is considered that the SRM can be used as a supplementary method for slope stability analysis to check and optimize the treatment scheme,which has obvious advantages and engineering practical significance.
