Research And Application Of Breakout Prediction Based On VAI Crystallizer Expert System

Qiangang Company brought in two VAI slab continuous casting devices in the 3rd stage of the project in 2010,Crystallizer Expert System included.The stability of Crystallizer Breakout Prediction System directly determines the yield and quality of products.Unstable operation of Crystallizer Breakout Prediction System leads to abnormal production in the primary operation in 2013.Therefore,to ensure normal production of casting machine,practical improvement must be applied to Crystallizer breakout prediction system.In the paper,we take slab continuous caster as the research object,refer to Plenty of research papers concerning about continuous casting home and abroad,focus on studying the breakout prediction method and VAI Crystallizer expert’s development and application,Make profound study on slab sticker breakout,propose improvement approaches to overcome shortcomings of breakout prediction system.The main research contents of this paper are listed as follows:First,it analyses the types and causes of the breakout.With the properties and functions of meniscus,it deeply discusses the influencing factors of stick breakout,and then brings forward the prediction measures to avoid the breakout.Second,it presents the the optimized selection and installation scheme of thermocouple and the frictional force control schemes by analyzing algorithm of thermodynamic unit and algorithm of dynamics unit in breakout prediction system.Third,It summarizes the hardware framework and software interface and function of VAI Crystallizer Expert System,and illustrates its automatic calibration,alarm functions and on-line parameter monitoring in detail.Fourth,it makes offline data processing and contrast by using of VAI Breakout Prediction System and Logic Prediction System,giving a summary of the practical applicability and shortcomings of breakout prediction in VAI Expert System.On the basis of the original expert system,it brings in important position control and unsteady control,and introduces the Activefactory trend analysis software of breakout prediction to achieve on-line monitoring.It is a great improvement that the important position control and unsteady control as well as the Activefactory trend analysis software are introduced into VAI Crystallizer Expert System.According to the statistics,the offline problems are reduced obviously thanks to the breakout prediction system,meanwhile,the interruption of production never occurs and the accuracy of breakout alarm approaches 100%...
