In the processing of box parts,it usually has to undergo milling,drilling,expanding,boring,reaming,boring,tapping and other processing steps.The processing cycle is long,and multiple fixtures need to be clamped.The number of manual measurements is large.When the clamp is clamped with a physical fixture,the machining accuracy and the machining quality cannot be guaranteed.Computer Aided Fixture Design(CAFD)system realizes the virtual clamping process of fixture components in computer 3D CAD software,overcomes the shortcomings of interference rework in the process of manual physical fixtures,but there is still assembly automation.The low level,the rationality of the design result of the clamping is difficult to evaluate and other deficiencies.In view of the above problems,this paper combines the common clamping method of box-type parts,selects the box boring process,studies the rapid assembly design technology of the modular fixtures.And through the UG platform,developed on the box-type parts of the Modular fixture rapid assembly simulation system.Assembling the simulation system to improve the efficiency and quality of the fixture assembly has certain reference value for theoretical research and practical operation.This paper mainly studies from the following aspects:(1)In this paper,the structural characteristics of the grooved fixture components and the box-type parts are studied in detail,and a Modular fixture resource model library for the assembly of the box-type parts is established.Among them,it mainly includes the workpiece library,the Modular fixture component library,etc.,and finally realizes the management and query of the information about the Modular fixture components.(2)Based on the analysis of the fixture component information model,this paper establishes a Modular fixture model for object-oriented assembly,deeply studies the rules and strategies of its related assembly,and studies the coordinate definition,assembly behavior and pose of the assembly system.The definition of the properties between the assembly feature surface elements of the assembly object lays the foundation.(3)Based on the assembly theory research,the rapid assembly simulation process of the Modular fixture was finally completed.By deeply analyzing the matching relationship between the assembly surface elements of the fixture component assembly,the assembly surface attribute definition naming rules GUID and REFRGUID are introduced,and the program design and development of the automatic matching constraint on the assembly surface is completed,and finally the Modular fixture component and the workpiece are realized.The rapid assembly simulation process.(4)With the help of Visual C++ language toolset and UG/Open API development tool,a quick assembly simulation system based on box-type parts was developed on NX UG10.0 platform,and the system interface and specific example demonstration process were given.
