In recent years,the discharge of cooking oil fumes in China is increasing,which not only causes serious pollution to the atmospheric environment,but also seriously endangers the health of residents.The management of cooking fumes has become a hot topic in the field of environmental protection.The use of fiber filter to collect cooking oil fumes is one of many management techniques.With the development of material science and weaving technology,the treatment of cooking oil fume with new fiber filter media has become a hot research topic.So it is necessary to study the characteristics of oil fume filtered by fiber filter media.And it is also meaningful to analyze the effect of pre-filter on the performance of other fume treatment equipment.The cooking fume filtration characteristics of fiber filter media were studied through experiments.The three basic parameters of filter media efficiency,resistance and oil volume were tested.The effects of filter stacking density,thickness,fiber arrangement structure and flow speed on the filtration characteristics of fume were analyzed.The results show that fiber arrangement has great influence on the filtration characteristics of fume.The regular arrangement of fiber structure of the new fiber filter media reduces the filtration efficiency,but greatly reduces the resistance of the filter media and improves the oil holding capacity of the filter media.Under the head-on wind speed of 2 m/s,the filtration characteristics of the new fiber filter material to oil fume particles are as follows.The filtration efficiency reaches81%;the resistance is only 39 Pa;the quality factor is 39.6 kPa-1;the oil holding capacity is 8.04 g/?m2Pa?.Moreover,oil pollution will flow out when its internal accumulation of oil is more.The obvious oil holding capacity makes it have a good application prospect in the initial filtration section of cooking fume grading treatment.A model for analyzing the influence of pre-filter material on electrostatic fume filter is established.Through theoretical deduction,the relative prolongation of the service time of electrostatic filter is obtained.After adding new fiber filter material,the use time of electrostatic filter will be more than 3.4 times longer than that when it is used alone.
